ARTISTIC GOAL
My artistic quest is to seek out and be exposed to a wide range of quality explorations and committed artists so that I can fully develop my potentials as a creatively expressive person.
CHOREOGRAPHIC OUTPUT
As Director/Choreographer of SLAMFEST, my performance work has been presented by numerous venues in NYC including: DTW, Danspace Project, Galapagos, Joyce Soho, La MaMa, Movement Research, P.S. 1, P.S. 122, and WAX. My work has also been presented nationally in/at Jacob’s Pillow, Los Angeles, Philadelphia, Richmond, San Diego, San Francisco, Seattle, and Syracuse as well as internationally in Canada, England, Mexico, and Puerto Rico.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Over the years, I have had the honor of performing for numerous talented creators including: David Lindsay-Abaire, David Dorfman, Keely Garfield, Joe Goode, Allyson Green, Sally Silvers, Stephanie Skura, Merián Soto, and Molly Rabinowitz.
COLLABORATION AND IMPROVISATION
Collaborating with dancers and designers is a joyous process. I have also had the pleasure of collaborating with other choreographers (Leslie Derrick, Leigh Evans, Karen Langevin, Andrea Mills, Rob Petres, and Kate Weare) as well as with composers (Ben Hume, Chris Lancaster, Sean Meehan, and Guy Yarden). Improvisational performance is also quite rewarding and I have been fortunate to co-create both indoor and outdoor events in Seattle and New York.
TEACHING CREDENTIALS
I am a certified instructor of the Skinner Releasing Technique (SRT). I have often taught in NYC as well as through out the United States as well as in Canada, Mexico, and England.
RELATED ARTISTIC ENDEAVORS
I have designed and built set elements for Alethea Adsitt, Wendy Blum, Dawn Eshelman, Andrea Mills, and Lisa Race; my artwork has been presented at the Steinbaum Krauss Gallery; and I was the assistant director for Words of the firefly, a film by Kirk Förde.
